Changes of the Sub-Minor comprise usually bug-fixes or smaller improvements of the functionality. These Updates are usually free via download.
A change of the Minor version provides new features, also bigger ones.
A change in the Major version is an evolutionary step after many Minor and Sub-Minor changes, and usually happens after years of development.
